Summary: Train engineer Jacques lusts after the wife of his co-worker Roubaud. Roubaud kills his boss and Jacques witnesses the murder. In order to keep Jacques quiet, Roubaud allows Jacques to have an affair with his wife, creating a tragic love triangle.
